This allows for self diagnostics, the setting, storage, and recall of calibration data
Viatran's Model 970, designed specifically for the oil production industry, features a HART communications protocol that enables digital communication with the transmitter. This allows for self diagnostics, the setting, storage, and recall of calibration data, as well as the efficiency of a multidrop network for multiple transmitters.

The HART protocol allows a simultaneous analog and digital signal transmission.

The "70" Series also features bonded foil strain gauge sensors. The inherent overpressure protection in this technology helps to eliminate damage to the sensors when they are exposed to hydraulic spikes.
