Accurate - Rugged - Dependable Because these tachometers measure speeds by contact, this type of tachometer is the solution to many speed measuring problems, especially checking speeds of totally enclosed rotating equipment. These tachometers operate on the well known and time tested principle of resonance. The instrument is simply held against motor, turbine, pump, compressor, or other rotating equipment and the speed is shown by the vibration of a steel reed which is tuned to a certain standard speed.
Ruggedly constructed, permanent accuracy, simple to use. The instrument imposes no load and cannot be damaged by overspeeding. Accuracy is 0.5% of rated speed.
