The MPC is a microprocessor based controller specifically designed to monitor the output signals
The MPC is a
microprocessor based controller specifically designed to monitor the
output signals of the MPT AutoCal remote hazardous gas transmitters
(4-20 MA loop). The MPC controller will monitor up to eight transmitters
for any combination of gases for which transmitters are available.
The 8 channel MPC
is designed to be cost effective with as few as two channels in use. The
menu driven set-up procedure allows technicians with no previous
experience to initialize the system easily. Additional channels can be
added by simply entering the set-up mode and specifying the type of gas
detected by the additional transmitters.
AutoCal
Transmitters
MPT AutoCal
transmitters are intended for installation requiring the continuous
monitoring of ambient atmospheres or confined spaces where personnel
might be exposed to toxic, combustible, oxygen depleted or enriched
atmosphere.
The MPT AutoCal
transmitters output 4-20mA signals compatible with most controller
systems and SCADA systems regardless or manufacturer.
Transmitters are
currently available for CO, O2, H2S, CH4, NO2, SO2, & CL2. Models
for HCN, HCL and NH3 are scheduled for introduction. Consult for
specifications.
The intrinsically
safe MPT AutoCal transmitters are easily calibrated or zeroed by one
technician. Simply attach the cal connector and flow gas. Remove the cal
connector when the green light on the transmitter relights indicating
the instrument is functioning properly.
MPC Controller
Features
DISPLAY: The
large, high quality (4 x 16 character) LCD can be set to read one
transmitter or to scan through all transmitters simultaneously. If an
alarm occurs while in the SCAN mode the unit will display only the
channel(s) registering an alarm condition
• ALARMS:
Two levels of alarm (warn and danger) are offered with the choice of
latching or non latching alarm relays. When in the the latched mode an
alarm relay would remain activated until acknowledged, even though gas
levels has fallen below the alarm point. A built console alarm is
included and remote location horns are optional
• SYSTEM
INTEGRATION: The MPC controller offers great reliability and ease of use
as a stand alone system or integrated into larger plant wide controllers
or SCADA systems. The RS232 port allows communication with any remote
computer or controller. Custom software is required
• SYSTEM
OUTPUTS: The MPC is equipped with three internal relays. These are for
system fault, warn and danger. An optional 16 relay accessory panel may
be specified to provide separate alarms (warn & danger) for each of
the eight channels
•
ENCLOSURES: The wall mounted Nema 4X enclosure is water, oil, dust and
chemical resistant and designed for rugged applications
