An affordable, easy to use and reliable instrument for CO safety and efficiency testing of combustion applications. The new PCA is the perfect tool for every service technician in determining safety and efficiency of all combustion appliances. It has a large LCD display with backlight that shows eight different combustion values simultaneously. The PCA will directly measure and display flue gas O2, temperature, CO (option) while computing and displaying combustion efficiency, excess air, CO2 and CO air free. Up to 10 sets of tests can be stored and downloaded into an infrared printer for a permanent record. The PCA includes a powerful industrial pump, probe and hose assembly with a filter and water trap, four (4) AA batteries, user guide and an instruction manual which are all packaged into a custom carrying case... just turn it on and go!

Applications
The new PCA is the perfect tool for service technicians who need to determine safety and/or efficiency in combustion applications. Residential furnaces, hot water heaters, boilers and ovens are just a few typical areas of use. The device can also be used in gas utility and weatherization applications where indoor air safety is a concern. By utilizing the optional printer, you can provide hard-copy evidence of the need for repairs or replacement of your customer’s appliances. They will appreciate a record of your tests

Only the PCA measures CO air free... Here’s what that means to you
The CO air free unit of measurement is computed by the PCA from the CO and O2 measurements. This calculated value is a concept for determining the amount of CO present in a sample by compensating for the amount of excess air provided by the burner. In other words, the CO air free measurement eliminates the excess air dilution caused by primary and secondary air. American National Standards Institute (ANSI Z21) specifies the use of PPM CO air free as a unit of measure when testing certain appliances. The following are the ANSI standards 200 PPM CO air free on an unvented space heater; 400 PPM CO air free on furnace flue gas; and 800 PPM CO air free on an unvented gas oven.

As a result, product features were incorporated into the design of the PCA to meet or exceed your expectations.
