The MG 251 is a technology advanced hand held multi-function test instrument for measuring insulation resistance at test voltages of 250, 500 and 1000 volts. Additionally, it can be used to measure AC voltage, DC voltage and low resistance (continuity). Its simplicity of operation, accuracy, mechanical and electrical ruggedness, safety features, and multiple ranges and functions make it the ideal instrument for maintenance and repair electricians and technicians.
Primary uses include testing power apparatus such as cables, motors, panel boards, switch gears, meters, relays and control circuits. Other applications include testing traffic control equipment, telephone and telegraph equipment, aircraft and airport equipment and wiring, railroad signalling equipment and lighting circuits. The MG 251 comes complete with carrying case, test leads, 4 test clips, 2 test probes, 6 AA batteries and spare fuse.
