      | The Dual-Channel
Counter with the Basic Main Board and FR universal dual-channel pulse
input signal conditioner is a flexible 6-digit instrument which can be
programmed for multiple functions: – Frequency, rate or period. The meter measures frequency
from 0 Hz to 1 MHz and rate in engineering units with exceptional
accuracy at high read rates. Such fast response is ideal for alarm and
control. Two channels (A & B) may be independently scaled. The
displayed channel is selected via a front panel pushbutton.
 – Time interval. The meter displays pulse width or time
delay of pulses applied between channels A & B.
 – Totalizing. Channels A & B may be independently set
up and scaled to count up or to count down. Scaling allows readout in
engineering units. Totals are stored in non-volatile memory.

The Dual -Channel Counter with the Extended Main Board offers all
capabilties of the version with the Basic Main Board, plus a host of
additional programmable capbilities at modest extra cost:
 – Rate and total simultaneously. Channels A or B are
selected for display via a front panel pushbutton. Great for flow
        applications.
 – Reversible up/down counting. Count direction of Channel A
is dynamically changed by applying a signal to Channel B.
 – Totalizing with external inhibit. Counting of Channel A
is controlled by applying a count start/stop signal to Channel B.
 – Linearization of nonlinear inputs. Up to 240 data points
can be input from a spreadsheet.
 – Arithmetic between channels: A+B, A-B, A*B, A/B, A/B-1.
 – Duty cycle. This is a measure of ON or OFF period as a
percent of total period. Resolutions of 1%, 0.1% or 0.01% are
        selectable.
 – Stopwatch operation. Used to time single events, such as
sporting events or processes, which produce start and stop pulses. Also
used to time the width of a single pulse. The display is updated
        continuously during timing.
 – Phase angle. Two signals with identical periods are
applied to Channels A & B. Phase angle is the time delay between A
& B pulse edges and divided by period and displayed in degrees
 – Batch control. Used to control repetitive fill operations
with up or down counting, a prewarn to control fill rates, and a
programmable delay between cycles. A dual relay board and optional third
        relay are normally also used.
