The Digital Gas Leak Detector is a microprocessor controlled multigas monitor that has been miniaturized
The Digital Gas Leak Detector is a microprocessor controlled multigas monitor that has been miniaturized, producing a handheld instrument capable of detecting very small gas leaks quickly, safely, and without risk of contamination.
There are two models of the detector available. The EPD-3000 and EPD-5000 models is certified for use in flammable atmospheres. The instruments display is principally calibrated to quantify Helium leaks in ml/sec, but it has the ability to detect other gases. Advanced software features on both models allow the user to program the unit to auto-range, to hold maximum readings, and to screen out interference from background gases.
The EPD-3000 is calibrated against Helium (He) and displays only in ml/sec. This means that although other gases are detected, the displayed readings relate only to Helium.
The EPD-5000 offers the user a choice of units, allowing accurate readings of all gases in ml/sec, ppm or cu.ft./yr. The EPD-5000 also offers other advanced features, such as datalogging with accurate time & date stamp record keeping. No cables are required with the dated download as the connection is through an infrared port.
