The BD21150 and BD21151 are designed for use during the installation or activation of a new system, or when qualifying existing pairs for new services or when troubleshooting an existing system.
BD21150: Bridges the gap between general purpose multimeters and expensive transmission test equipment; specifically designed as a multi-purpose test set for installation and maintenance work in a telephone environment. |

BD21151 Features |
- Tests for line voltage and current, noise, balance, loss and slope, as well as providing complete Caller ID and Call Waiting testing
- The Caller ID and Call Waiting features are unique in one unit and include ring time, silent time, alert-to-carrier time, mark and space dB, checksum, CAS tone dB, ACK tone dB and OSI time
- Line Measurements – simultaneously monitor interaction of line voltage, loop current, and ringer voltage
- Internal 430 Ohm Load – a 430 ohm resistive load is required for testing loop current for conformance standards
- Loss & Slope – determined on a phone line (frequency / dB level of any tone)
- Noise & Balance Measurements – uncover noise and balance problems by simultaneously displaying metallic noise, noise to ground and longitudinal balance

BD21150 Features |
- Line Measurements –make simultaneous measurements of line voltage, loop current, dB level and frequency.; allows user to monitor interaction between these parameters
- Ohms Mode – Measure resistance of unpowered phone loops and other passive circuits
- Loop Mode – measures effective resistance of a powered phone line
- Loss & Slope – determines loss & slope on a phone line (frequency of tone / True RMS level)
- Tone Generator – 1004 Hz, 0 dBm tone allows simple cable identification and mapping
- Digit Monitor – provides monitoring and analysis of DTMF and pulse digits for verifying proper dial-up performance
