This unique instrument can be connected to any LONWORKS system, ensuring the full compatibility. It is equipped with a standard communication interface that transmits several measures The transceivers available are FTT10 and RS485.

WHAT IS LONWORKS |
LonWorks is a universal control-networking platform that allows you to inexpensively implement a reliable distributed control network. A LonWorks network is made up of intelligent devices (nodes) that can sense, process, communicate, and control a multitude of applications ranging from handheld instruments to large process control systems.
LonWorks was introduced in 1991 and is supported by more than 4000 companies worldwide. The technology incorporates all the necessary hardware and firmware functions needed to implement a complete control network solution dedicated to performing both network and application tasks. Neuron chips, manufactured by multiple vendors, form the heart of most LonWorks nodes. As a semi-dedicated family of microcontrollers, Neurons have programmable I/O lines and memory interfaces and are capable of performing the same functions as a microcontroller. The key difference is that Neuron chips are also able to communicate with each other via the LonTalk protocol and an external transceiver, allowing the creation of networks with as little as 2 devices to as many as 32,000.

TRANSCEIVERS and MODELS |
1) DMM3 LON FTT10 FTT-10A Free Topology Twisted Pair Transceiver supports polarity-insensitive star, bus, and loop wiring, freeing the system installer from the need to wire using a bus topology. Free topology wiring reduces the time and expense of system installation by allowing the wiring to be installed in the most expeditious manner. It also simplifies network expansion by eliminating restrictions on wire routing, splicing, and node placement.
2) DMM3 LON RS485 The RS485 twisted pair is one of the most popular transmission media. This model allow the direct connection of the DMM3 in such kind of applications.
