The Device Management System (DMS) software is a plant asset management solution for smart and conventional field devices. All aspects of device calibration and configuration activity are managed by DMS. Easily integrated into existing communication networks, the DMS can be configured as a single user or multi-user plant asset management solution.
DMS/DPC Interface With MFT-4000 Series
The DMS is seamlessly integrated with the Documenting Process Calibrator/Communicator. The initial release of DMS is HART® enabled and takes advantage of all HART® related features of the MFT for configuration and calibration of HART® Devices.
All MFT Module options can be configured with the DMS for calibration and diagnostic activity.
DMS Single Point Access (SPA) To HART® Devices Option
The DMS SPA option provides direct Single Point Access to devices via HART® Modems. This option includes access to the entire HART® Device Model Library. |

- Collect and store device data that can be organized according to geographical location, system architectures, or device classifications
- Manage calibration reference standards and calibrator/communicator equipment for traceability and recertification
- Associate documents with devices for quick access to reference material that will launch in its native application when selected
- Clone devices and groups of devices for commissioning applications
- Interface directly with HART® devices through single point access for bench top applications and through multi-point access for a network of devices

Calibration and Configuration Management |
- Develop custom calibration procedures, with scheduled intervals and user settable pre-notices
- Ensure data security through the assignment of roles to customer definable users and groups
- Upload calibration and configuration results (as left/as found) to the DMS
- Print calibration and configuration results (as left/as found) for agency compliance
- Approve calibration and configuration results
- Archive historical activity on devices for trending, traceability and trouble shooting
