Unequaled User Interface The DataWorker¢â 5 system of prompts makes the units simple and easy for the first-time operator to program and run. Every step is prompted from the printer, and distinctive audible and visual clues identify the operating mode and signal entry errors. A ¡°type ahead¡± feature allows the experienced operator to step through the programming without initiating printouts, saving both time and battery power.
Multi-Programmable for Versatility Multi-programmable means that each of the DataWorker 5¡¯s five logging channels can be programmed for either voltage or temperature logging.
All the functions of the DataWorker 5 are programmable directly from the keypad. Functions include: Data and Time, Log Interval, Channel Type (thermocouple or voltage), Thermocouple Type (J, K, T, E), optional type (J, K, T, N) or (R, S, B, N), mX+b (voltage channels), Temperature Units (F or C), Engineering Units, 50 or 60 Hz A/D Rejection and Output Format.
Channel 6 for Math Functions The sixth channel is designed for performing mathematical operations on any of the other channels. For example, the data from one channel can be added, subtracted, multiplied, or divided by data from another channel and the results printed as a sixth data channel.
Battery-Saving Features To prolong battery life, the system turns off all circuitry but the internal clock after a period of keyboard inactivity and between logging intervals. The DataWorker 5 will print up to 8,000 lines on a set of new batteries. Battery life can be extended with the optional AC adapter. For remote installations, an optional external battery pack or an automotive adapter plug are available. |
