PerformaTherm™ thermometers have precise tolerances, low uncertainty, and quick response time like mercury instruments. Simply put, tolerance is the maximum permissible error of the instrument. Uncertainty is the maximum expected error of any reported reading. Response time is the time needed to get a reliable reading.
PerformaTherm’s STB blue liquid is safer than both mercury and most traditional spirit thermometer liquids. The proprietary formula is biodegradable, nontoxic, noncaustic, and nonhazardous. The dark blue liquid is easily read against our white-backed stem for additional assurance against errors. Each PerformaTherm is 100% guaranteed, when used properly, for the life of the instrument.
