Simply insert the sensor tip into battery electrolyte. The specific gravity shows up instantly in bright LED numbers, after automatic computation of specific gravity adjusted at 77°F. It also indicates both voltage and acid temperature in digits.

Both the SBS1001 and SBS2002 measure the specific gravity of diluted sulfuric acid (H2SO4) used in lead acid industrial batteries. The SBS-1001 indicates those values plus voltage digitally and an optional data logger allows for automatic storage. The sensor probe diameter is 0.9" (23mm) and will fit into the vent well of most stationary or motive power batteries.
