It is essential to know the concentration and freezing point of anti-freeze coolants for vehicular safety. Keeping a suitable concentration of coolant prevents engine trouble and possible radiator corrosion. These refractometers (available with either °F or °C ranges) monitor the freezing point of both ethylene glycol and propylene glycol; in addition, they indicate battery recharge level.
Models BC-3E (°F) and BC-2E (°C) are simple to use and are virtually an indispensible instrument for gas stations, service shops, cab companies, etc.
