All wetted surfaces are constructed of rugged Nylon&Reg; plastic and Viton&Reg; O-rings; both are corrosion resistant. The unit accommodates almost any gas including air, oxygen, process gases and even corrosives.

Our versatile electronic mass flow meter displays the mass flow rate directly in SCCM or SLM. The display is tiltable over 180° for easy viewing and can be removed for remote monitoring on a front panel. Because the unit can be mounted in any convenient location in your system, you realize substantial savings in installation costs.

The electronic mass flow meter monitors the mass flow rate of the gas. This means it measures molecular flow, the measurement quantity of direct concern in most applications, such as human respiration, chemical processes, combustion and heating or cooling. No temperature or pressure corrections are required, as is the case with most other flow monitoring devices like roto meters, turbine meters, and orifice plates.

The flow meter is a transducer requiring a 12 to 24 VDC external power source normally provided by the convenient power pack supply, but which can also be provided by the customer. A 0-5 VDC or 4-20mA (optional) output signal linearly proportional to gas mass flow rate is provided for recording, data logging, or control. A 9-pin "D" subconnector for the output signal, input power, and remote display drie is standard. The flow meter is available in several basic configurations with either a 1/4" NPT female or 1/8: O.D. tube compression inlet/outlet fittings, with or without the digital display, and with or without the power supply.
